About the fund

The updated “Vilniaus prekybos paramos fondas DABAR” entered a new stage in January 2017.

In 2002-2017, the fund allocated EUR 5 million to charity and support. The sharers of “Vilniaus prekybos paramos fondas DABAR” are UAB “Vilniaus prekyba” and Nerijus Numavičius. The fund is managed by Rytis Jezepčikas, Board Member at UAB “Vilniaus prekyba”.

The current direction of the fund’s support is the support of initiatives that help to ensure comprehensive and equivalent high-quality education in order to achieve long-term positive changes. In this context, additional attention is paid to the education and integration of people with disabilities.

The fund also provide support and other assistance in the spheres of science, culture, art, sports, healthcare, social welfare, environmental protection and other areas that are important to the public.

Other directions of the fund's support

To provide support and other assistance in the spheres of science, culture, art, sports, healthcare, social welfare, environmental protection and other areas that are recognised as charitable and important to the public, to support other projects and programmes important to the public.

Asset management principles

Sanctity of capital

The goal will be to manage the capital in such a way as to preserve its value and to ensure that funds allocated for charity and support are obtained from the fund’s capital gains, i.e. from cash flows of investments of the subsidiary companies of the fund or from the support of third parties (not subsidiary companies of the fund).

Effectiveness and public benefit

The fund’s assets must be managed in order to ensure effectiveness and public benefit: revenue generated by investing the assets must be used fairly and effectively to achieve goals beneficial to the public, by acting diligently, professionally and carefully.

Transparency

The investment of assets and the use of revenues generated by this activity must be transparent and performed according to the principles stipulated in the laws and the articles of association of the fund.
